How does registration for Alliance Française French as a Second Language courses through MIFO work?

Step 1

Register for French as a Second Language courses with Alliance française Ottawa through MIFO in one of the ways listed below. The registration fees listed include all course fees (administrative and course fees as well as the workbook and language test).

  • Online on our website
  • By phone at 613 830-6436, ext. 0
  • In person, at the MIFO reception desk (6600 Carrière Street in Orléans), Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.)

Step 2

Once you have registered, we will send you a confirmation email with a code and the information you need to take a language test to find out in which level you are allowed to registered. If you are already taking a course with Alliance française Ottawa, you will be registered in the next level according to your progress, and Alliance française Ottawa will contact you as soon as possible.

Step 3

Once the language test has been completed, you will be put in contact with Alliance française Ottawa to find out the result of your test, your level and the course options you can take for the winter 2021 session.

Step 4

Following your conversation with Alliance française Ottawa, it is up to you to decide which course you would like to take based on your level and the course options available for the winter 2021 session.

Step 5

Finally, once you have chosen the course you want to follow, confirm the registration with Alliance française Ottawa and they will send you your course login information as soon as possible.
